Is Hurdlr Worth It for Rideshare Drivers?
Hurdlr is a mileage, expense and tax-estimate app with two paid plans, Premium and Pro. It is worth it for a rideshare driver who wants that paperwork tracked automatically. It does not give you your own riders. SOLODRIVE.PRO works alongside it, with a booking page at your handle so Uber and Lyft passengers can become your own repeat riders.
What Hurdlr does
Hurdlr is a mileage, expense and tax app for people who work for themselves. Plenty of rideshare drivers use it.
On its own site, Hurdlr lists two paid plans (read October 15, 2026):
| Hurdlr plan | What Hurdlr says it covers |
|---|---|
| Premium | Expenses and receipts, automatic mileage tracking, live tax estimates and reminders |
| Pro | Invoicing with card payments and collections, accounting with bookkeeper support, core financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, trial balance) |
Hurdlr's site offers a free trial. Its pricing page did not list prices when we read it, so check Hurdlr's signup page for what it costs today.
Where Hurdlr earns its keep
A driver puts a lot of miles on a car. A trip you forget to log is a trip you cannot count.
Automatic mileage tracking takes the forgetting out of it. Add receipts and a running tax estimate, and you stop guessing what you owe in April. For a driver who hates paperwork, that is real value.
If that is your problem, Hurdlr is a fair answer to it.
What Hurdlr does not do
Hurdlr looks back. It counts the miles you drove and the money you spent.
It does not change who is in your back seat next week. The rider you drove to the airport on Tuesday goes back into the Uber or Lyft app. The next airport run goes to whoever the app sends.
No tracker fixes that, because tracking is not the problem. The rider has no way to reach you.
The part a tracker cannot do
A rider needs one place to book you that does not depend on the app matching you again.
SOLODRIVE.PRO gives you a booking page at your own handle. A rider opens it, picks the trip and the time, and the request comes to you. No app for the rider to download.
- Share your link at the end of a good ride, or point to your booking QR.
- You set pricing. The rider sees it before they book.
- Payment is captured on the platform for your direct rides.
- Turn repeat riders into regulars. Mark a rider as a regular, they agree and save a card, and the ride is billed weekly through Stripe.
- Keep a customer list of the riders who book you.
You can also log your Uber and Lyft earnings by hand, so you can track earnings and stay tax-ready in the same place you run your direct rides. And you can log oil changes, tires, brakes and other upkeep costs as they happen.
What one tracker cannot add up to
Hurdlr can tell you what last month cost. It cannot add a ride to next month.
Here is what regulars add to a week. These numbers are illustrative, on a fare you set:
| Your regulars | Rides a week | At $15 a ride |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 10 | $150 a week |
| 3 | 30 | $450 a week |
| 5 | 50 | $750 a week |
Five regulars at that fare is about $3,000 a month of rides on your calendar before the month starts. Every one of them started as a rider the app sent you.
So, is Hurdlr worth it?
For tracking your miles, expenses and tax estimate, yes, if automatic tracking saves you time you would otherwise spend on a spreadsheet.
For growing what you earn, it was never built for that. Keep Hurdlr for the paperwork if it works for you. Add a booking page for the riders.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Hurdlr worth it for rideshare drivers?
For tracking, yes. Hurdlr tracks your miles automatically, captures expenses and receipts, and gives you a live tax estimate with reminders. If that paperwork is what costs you sleep, it earns its place. What it does not do is bring a rider back to you. For that you need a booking page, not a tracker.
What plans does Hurdlr have?
Hurdlr lists two paid plans on its own site. Premium covers expenses and receipts, automatic mileage tracking, and live tax estimates and reminders. Pro adds invoicing with card payments, accounting with bookkeeper support, and core financial reports like a P&L and balance sheet. Hurdlr's site offers a free trial. Its pricing page did not show prices when we read it on October 15, 2026, so check Hurdlr's signup page for the current price.
Hurdlr Premium or Hurdlr Pro for a rideshare driver?
Most drivers who only drive need the mileage, expense and tax-estimate side, which is Premium. Pro adds invoicing, bookkeeping and full financial reports, which matter more if you run a business with clients you bill.
Does Hurdlr help me get more riders?
No. Hurdlr counts what you earn and spend. It does not give a rider a way to book you again. That part takes a booking page a rider can open without the Uber or Lyft app.
Can I use Hurdlr and SOLODRIVE.PRO together?
Yes. They do different jobs. Hurdlr keeps your miles and expenses. SOLODRIVE.PRO gives you a booking page at your own handle so the riders you drive on Uber and Lyft can book you directly, and lets you log your other-platform earnings so you can track earnings and stay tax-ready.
Is Hurdlr the same as SOLODRIVE.PRO?
No. Hurdlr is a tracker for your money and miles. SOLODRIVE.PRO is software to run and grow your own ride service. It works alongside Uber and Lyft and turns their passengers into your own repeat riders.
