Driver Manual, Part 1 · Chapter 1: What SOLODRIVE.PRO Actually Is, and What It Is Not
SOLODRIVE.PRO is your own booking page and the rails behind it. Riders reach you at your handle, you set your price, you capture the card, the money lands in your account.
What SOLODRIVE.PRO is
Here is the whole thing in one line. You get your own booking page. A rider goes to that page, asks you for a ride, you set the price, and their card gets charged when the ride is done. The money goes to your account, not to an app that hands you a cut.
That page lives at one address that is yours: `app.solodrive.pro/t/{handle}`. Your handle is your name on it. Share that address with a rider and they can book you directly, any time, without opening Uber or Lyft and hoping you are the car that comes.
Why this matters
The apps do not give you riders. They rent you the introduction.
You give someone a good ride. They would happily ride with you again. But the app was built so they cannot. Next time they open it, they get whatever car is closest. The rider you earned goes back in the pool.
SOLODRIVE.PRO closes that gap. A rider who liked your ride gets one address that comes straight back to you. One good ride can become a standing one. A commuter who rides ten times a week is ten rides the app was only ever going to give away one at a time.
That is the point of everything in this manual. Not keeping a little more of one fare. Keeping the rider.
What SOLODRIVE.PRO is not
Read this part slowly, because it saves you from the wrong expectations.
It is not another app you wait for pings from. No dispatch queue sends you strangers. Your riders come from the riders you already meet. You hand out your page. They book you.
It is not a reason to quit Uber or Lyft. Keep driving the apps exactly as you do now. The apps bring you the first ride with someone new. Your booking page brings you the next one with someone who already knows you. The two work together.
It is not a company that owns your riders. The riders who book your page are your customers, on your page, at your handle. That is the difference the whole product is built around.
What it costs
You will hear this straight, because a driver tracks every dollar and so do we.
SOLODRIVE.PRO has four plans. Every plan except Elite charges a small application fee on each paid ride, on top of any monthly cost. The fee is the percentage or the per-ride minimum, whichever is larger. Here is all of it, with nothing hidden:
- Free costs $0 a month. The fee is 12% per paid ride, with a $2.00 minimum.
- Basic costs $10 a month. The fee is 6.5% per paid ride, with a $1.50 minimum.
- Pro costs $45 a month. The fee is 4% per paid ride, with a $1.00 minimum. The first $500 you process each month has no fee at all.
- Elite costs $100 a month. There is no SOLODRIVE.PRO transaction fee on your rides.
A few honest notes on that table. The monthly cost is flat. It does not go up when you do more rides. It is not a cut of what you earn the way the apps take a cut. And only Elite has no per-ride fee. If anyone tells you Free, Basic, or Pro is completely fee-free, that is wrong. The fee is small, and it is a fraction of what the apps take, but it is real, and you deserve to know it before you set your prices.
You can start on Free today and move up when the math says to. Nothing in this manual requires a paid plan to get your page live and taking rides.
What you can do the moment you are set up
Once your page is live (Chapters 2 and 3 get you there), every plan lets you:
- Take a ride request at your own booking page and handle.
- Set your own price and capture the rider's card.
- Run the ride from your operator console and share a live trip and status page.
- Track your miles while you drive.
Higher plans add more, like automatic quotes, scheduled reservations, and the regulars engine that turns a commuter into a standing weekly booking. Those live on the plans that include them. For now, know this: on any plan, you are two steps from a booking page that takes a real, paid ride.
